Shop FAQ

Do you sell original paintings?

Occasionally I will sell original watercolours. This doesn’t happen often so the best way to snag the perfect one is to join my mailing list here where I will give my subscribers early access to view the work before it goes up in the shop.

Do you take on commissions?

I am no longer taking on personal commissions at this time. If you are an Art Director or publisher looking for illustration work, please contact therese@strawberrysnail.com to discuss your project! You can find my editorial portfolio here.

What is the print quality?

All my prints are giclée reproductions of my original watercolours which means they are museum-quality—made with pigment-based inks that won’t fade and are archival. I take great care to make sure the colours, details, vibrancy and textures are reproduced exactly to match the original. It’s a finicky process, but I always get rave reviews from customers about the quality of the print, so it’s totally worth it. The same goes for all my textile products.

Framing recommendations?

Let’s face it, most of us are overwhelmed by framing and avoid it for as long as possible. Don’t! First, it’s the best way to protect your artwork and second—the artwork moved you enough to take your money, so let it give you joy every day by hanging it in your home! My original Nostalgia paintings are all matted to fit a standard frame. I offer a mat for my Birds & Botanicals prints to fit a standard 12x12 inch frame, so it’s easy. My best advice? Go all out with an elaborate vintage frame or go really simple with a narrow warm wood or metal (gold) frame.
